As said before, in the past I've been using EDD with:

When I started my new project, I went to these pages and was a bit shocked by the prices (especially for use at multiple sites). So started to search for an alternative, and stumbled upon WooCommerce and your plugin (Free Download + Pro).

Now I read you're going to integrate with EDD; does it mean your plugin is gonna be a nice and cheap alternative for EDD Free Downloads and EDD MailChimp?

Looks that way mate. I'm planning to sell the EDD Pro version at the same price with essentially the same functionality. Some things won't be included that are only for WooCommerce specific functionality. Like how shop pages behave (EDD has no "read more" thing for example).

I'll be doing an email link add-on for the EDD version as well, one of the paid smaller add-ons I have planned.

For now I feel fine with what I started with, since I'm planning to sell printed stuff as well - not just giving away the digital files only. So for that purpose, WooCommerce should be a good choice. And then Free Downloads for WooCommerce + Pro should be a nice fit.

So for now no plans to switch to EDD, but always good to know what you're up to 😉
