Hello,

I'm using WooCommerce to build an archiv site for free downloads and I want to use the Elementor plugin as a page builder in order to design my WooCommerce templates (single product and product archive). However it looks like the Free Downloads WooCommerce plugin is not compatible with Elementor. The "add to basket" button remains the same. It does not get replace with the "download now" button within the Elementor editor.

Is there any way to use the Free Downloads WooCommerce plugin (free or pro version) with Elementor?

Thank you for your help.

Best regrds, Arne

P.S.: The plugin works just finde, when I use it just with the regular WooCommerce template, without Elementor.

Thanks for your quick reply, Richard.

I haven't worked with shortcodeds so far. But I'd like to give them a try. Could you please guide me in the right direction: Where do I find them?

    Best regards, Arne

There's a section in the plugin settings that goes over them, in the support tab 🙂

    Thats great. Thanks.

Can you also help me with this one:

I have the impression that those shortcodes always need to have a sepecific product ID. Is that right? Thats not what I need. What I'm looking for is a template with dynamic product elements, like product title, short description, download link etc. Those elements are responsible to dynamically pull in the content from the WooCommerce product object. The Elementor Page Editior is  able to dynamically create pages with the product titel, short description, add to basket link and others but -as far I can see -  not with a "download now link". I was hoping your plugin is able to do that.

With other words: I don't want to create single pages with dedicated download links / IDs manually but one template that serves as the base for all my product pages.  All I'm missing now on that template is a (dynamic) donload now button that is not bound to a specific product ID but all my products. Can this be done with those shortcodes you've pointed me to?

    Best regards, Arne

You can try [download_now_page] without a product ID. This one attempts to get the global product, likely how the theme is doing it dynamically.

If that doesn't work there is a new shortcode I'm working on that's better for things like this, coming in the next update.
