I am asking if it is possible to have in the "Newsletter options" a box title Categories? because I need to classify the customer as either Teacher, Student or Parent. Could it be possible to add this feature?

Yes, adding another field named: Category with three defined options in a drop down menu: Teacher, Student, Parent. My Newsletter Subscription Options is Manual. This is hard to implement as we would have to code an option to add custom select or inputs etc.. I can add to the dev list but cannot promise on when we will add it.
