I spent a lot of time testing different scenarios and discovered the following outcomes with the "Email link then redirect to confirmation page" download settings configured:

  1. If a new user downloads from the email link and is NOT logged in, but registers for an account after the fact: the download does not show up in their history.
  2. If a registered user downloads from the email link and is NOT logged in: the download is not registered in their history when they do log in to their account.
  3.  If a registered user downloads from the email link and IS logged in: the download is registered in their history.

How can I set it so a user can view their downloads history in scenarios 1 and 2? At the very least, scenario 2 should register history- because it's frustrating that a registered user can't view downloads associated with their email address even if they're not logged in.

    Hi Sheryll, download histories are linked to a user account, not an email address. If you want every download to be assigned to the user you should require users have an account and be logged in, in order to download your products.
