Hi Richard, how's life? 😉
Finally found some time again to get my idea/site (shiftinspiration.com) up and going. So have been thinking a bit yesterday...
Right now, if a visitor wants to download a free poster at my site (like here: https://www.shiftinspiration.com/blog/start-let-the-adventure-begin), he needs to leave his e-mail address. After that he gets the file. That's great. However, does it make sense if this same user needs to leave his e-mail address again next week, when he wants to download another file? And a week later? And a week later?
It only makes (some kind of) sense if the link to the file gets send to the e-mail address, instead of a download starting immediately after leaving an e-mail address.
You've suggested such a feature already here: https://wpenhanced.com/community/forums/topics/what-i-miss/#topic-reply-370
Another option would be: asking for an e-mail address in the popup, but not as a required field for downloading. Than it would be more something like: 'You can download the file in a moment; if you want to keep up with the newest downloads, then please leave your e-mail address and get a newsletter every week!'.
Something like that...
What do you think?
Cheers,
Marc
