Free Download Error

Hello,   I am getting the following error.  I do not know what could be the problem as there are some people signing up so I do not think it is the API.

Here is the error message I get in the email:

A free download user attempted to subscribe to your MailChimp newsletter list but had an error. See below.

No response came back. Please check your API Key is correct in the plugin settings.

Please let me know what I can do.  Thank you.

    Hi mate I'll look into this when I've done the stats and reporting feature.

    I'll just mention though, make sure your MailChimp settings are correct in my plugin settings, and that the email address isn't already subscribed. Also check to see if you're using double opt-in and haven't selected that option.

    Hello Richard.

    Maybe it is that they are subscribed already.  I have 14 different free downloads and to get each one they have to add their email address 14 times.

    Will the reporting feature explain further what the exact error is?

    It won't but I'm going to look at the errors codes again for MailChimp. It should recognise that it's already subscribed and give no error warning, so something may have changed.
