Hi,

I customized the email sent to my users in the settings of the Frontend Reset Password plugin.

However when  test member received the email it shows a flat text like in the examples below.

Can anybody help me out on this?

Copy/pasted from the email:

    Hi,

I am having the same, plus the Email Sender customization is also not working.

I am using the latest WordPress 5.1.1.

If I can get these features to work this plugin will work great for our site!

    Cheers

Ok so first of all the email sender address can't be customised for the plugin in you're using WP Mail SMTP. That overrides with whatever address is set up with that plugin. At least, that's what I've found when testing locally.

As for the email itself, my plugin doesn't send the text you posted in the first post in the thread, so I'm not sure where that text is coming from, but it's not this plugin. Probably being overridden.

Ok, Thanks for the effort. Tonight I will deactivate a few plugings one at a time to find out which one is overriding yours and remove it when I found it. I hope that will solve the problem.

Would you like to be kept informed about the pluging that cause the problem?

I deactivated all my plugins and changed the email text fields and the Email Sender to new custom data.  The customization still doesn't show in the email generated.  Maybe it's the newest version of WP.

I do use a lot of plugins, here are the ones that I was using.

I don't have my site launched yet, I'd be open to let you poke around.

It's probably one of those login/user plugins to be honest. Just check you've got both a sender name and sender address set up in my plugin settings and if they're both set it must be a plugin conflict.

Since you're using another plugin to manage your site login and password forget forms, do you need to use this plugin?

We both use the LoginPress plugin.  Maybe that's the one causing the problem. I will remove this plugin to see if the problem is solved.
