Shortcode compatibility with variable products

I'd like to use the Free Download Link shortcode for variable products.

In my testing, it only supports simple products.

Any chance you can include the same functionality for variable products too?

    Hi Adrian the normal shortcode [download_now] accepts a variation ID number as well. So something like this:

    [download_now id="product_id" variation="variation_id"]
